"Helligdom" means "Sanctuary" in Danish - our Helligdom network is the equivalent of "Albergues donativo" on the Camino de Santiago. ‍

Each sanctuary is unique; they are usually private homes, but you may be sleeping in small pilgrim hostels, or tents in private gardens.

 

Always welcomed by local people eager to share their passion for this land.

The average price per night per pilgrim for a sanctuary ranges 100-300DKK, making multi-day pilgrimages accessible to all.
